Reviews for Wholesome- Kuching
Review highlights
Based on 414 reviewsWholesome- Kuching is widely appreciated for its generous portion sizes, particularly with its combo meals, which offer good value for money. The restaurant is praised for tasty, well-seasoned dishes like chicken chop, lamb parmesan chop, and various pastas, with healthy juice options also noted. Customers frequently highlight the reasonable pricing, stylish food presentation, and a clean, cozy environment. While the location in Saradise is convenient, parking can be challenging, and the restaurant tends to be busy during peak hours, making reservations advisable. Service speed receives mixed feedback, with some noting occasional slowdowns. Overall, Wholesome- Kuching stands out as a reliable halal dining option in the Kuching area, balancing quality, affordability, and ambiance effectively.
Ordered the combo 2 for rm37 for chicken chop and lamb parmesan chop. Big portion, tasty, fries was delicious meat was alot. The pasta 2 for rm25, ordered the carbonara spaghetti and marinara seafood pasta. Both was delicious and well seasoned. Sik jelak also and worth the money. They accept cash and card payments.
I've been to Wholesome a couple of times and I really enjoyed my time there.First off, its located in Saradise, a haven for food, a pain for parking. Kuchingites, if you know, you know. We had to book the place in advance on a weekday as the place is one of the few verified halal restaurants at a predominantly 'if unsure, don't eat' for muslims kind of area. The only, not-so sure fire way to secure a parking spot is to be there early as heck or if you're late, recite the doa before eating as I call it and pray you find a spot. The place itself is decently-space, not too spacious but not too claustrophobia-enducing. The tables are quite limited. I went with a big group of 10, and thankfully the tables could be arranged to accommodate us.The menu mainly consisted of western dishes but what attracts people is the affordable and varied set menus that includes one dish and a drink, two mix-and-match dish and so on.I have tried the chicken chop with watermelon juice set and carbonara. For an affordable price, both dishes are good. Quantity and quality worth of the price, maybe even more. I also really enjoyed the acai bowl which is quite difficult to find in cafes/restaurants.Definitely recommend to try. I do highly insist on reserving a table in advance.
My favourites are Chicken Arrabiatta and Crispy Fried Chicken.Clean and cosy. However service can get slow at times.
My first time eating here! it was so gooooodddddd! the service was fast too! i like the fact that i can see them blending my juice on the counter hahah. i really love this place cause the prices are so reasonable and affordable and i like the combos menu. even with the price, their plating and presentation of the foods are top notch! i always take pic of my foods and it’s definitely insta-worthy. hope to take more food pics in the menu from wholesome again ! im just sad that i had to immediately go after i finished my foods cause they were a lot of people waiting outside during lunch hour and it sucks to immediately finish the foods as fast as possible and not chill out for even 10 more mins to finish my drinks cause the people were looking and expecting us to be faster.. i wish the place is bigger or do something maybe add some blinds or something or put a mirror or make a worker say to the people outside that our foods just arrived so they have to wait for 30 more mins or something
Good combo deals with healthy juices. All time favourite is beef ragu pasta. The portion is lesser than average but it’s just nice if you don’t have a big appetite. The chop series has a bigger portion than the pasta though. The combo deals made them more reasonable. The place can be packed during peak hours, so come early or do a reservation.
Good food, good mood! So worth it and so yummy!!! Service is fast and efficient, ambient is calming, combo price is cheap! We had lamb chop, chicken chop, and fried enoki. All good! The salad sweet mayo dressings is a first time for me. Lamb chop is juicy! This Christmas season when you spend more than RM50 you’ll get a Christmas goodie if you spend below RM50, you just need to like & share their FB to claim the goodie.
WholesomeThis is my personal experience today.Good food at affordable price. We ordered Promo 2 pastas for RM25.Seafood Aglio Olio and Pesto with beef bacon. Both pastas are yummy .Another promo we ordered was Wraps Juice at RM15.Other than those, u can try western main course RM35 for 2.Nice ambiance and good seating in such a small restaurant. Good service by the staff. Fast food serving. It’s recommended to try.Advisable to call and reserve a table before coming during this new year’s holiday. I came yesterday night but it was fully booked, so today i did reservation first.Visited on 1 January 2021.Happy New Year!
Attractive little place in Saradise.Has a nice simple menu with good value sets.Main & Juice or Pasta & Juice sets are available for a few Ringgit extra from the a la Carte price of the food. Great option to have a fresh pressed juice with your meal.
